Judas Priest‘s Richie faulkner is “stable and at rest” after having undergone emergency heart surgery.
The update comes from his partner, Mariah lynch, who took to Instagram Tuesday to say, “Thank you all for all your messages.
Next to a photo of the couple with their one-year-old daughter, daisy mae, Lynch wrote, “Richie had major emergency heart surgery. It is stable and at rest. If you know him, you know how tough and strong he is. So hard that he finished the show and kept the hair flips coming.
Lynch added, “There is no one like him. We would be lost without him #HotDad.
Priest leader Rob halford also used social media to spread the “good news”. Share a Photo from the guitarist he wrote: “Good news metal freaks, as you may have seen via Ritchies, the beautiful @mariahklynch, our Falcon is stable and resting after extensive heart surgery.”
The health update comes just a day after the group announced they were postponing their tour due to Faulkner’s health.
“It is with deep regret that we have to postpone the remainder of our American tour,” said Judas Priest. “Richie Faulkner has serious heart problems which have led him to the hospital where he is being treated. In the meantime, we all send love to our Falcon to wish him a speedy recovery… As soon as we hear from the doctors on when we can reschedule the dates, we will of course announce them.
