Mahesh Babu will facilitate the treatment of children with congenital heart diseases

Superstar Mahesh Babu has his heart in philanthropy. One of the most respected celebrities in Telugu cinema, Mahesh Babu is often associated with charity work. Mahesh, who loves children, takes great care of them. His Mahesh Babu Foundation actively responds to the medical needs of children. The number one star associated with the best hospitals – Rainbow Hospitals, Andhra Hospitals – to serve children.

The latest is the Mahesh Babu Foundation which has partnered with Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute (RCHI) for a noble initiative. Mahesh Babu started the Pure Little Hearts Foundation (PLHF) at RCHI for children’s heart care. Under the initiative, economically disadvantaged children with congenital heart disease would be treated at PLHF through the Mahesh Babu Foundation.

In India, congenital heart disease accounts for 10 in every 1,000 births, resulting in more than 200,000 children born with congenital heart disease every year. About a fifth of these infants are likely to have a serious birth defect, requiring intervention within the first year. The families of a majority of these children cannot afford quality pediatric cardiac care, resulting in significant morbidity and mortality. Upon learning of this, Mahesh Babu, through his Foundation, collaborated with the Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute and thus started the Pure Little Hearts Foundation.

Speaking at the launch of the Pure Little Hearts Foundation, Mahesh Babu said, “I am very happy to launch the Pure Little Hearts Foundation. Children have always been close to my heart, I am happy to support children in need of cardiac care at RCHI through the Mahesh Babu Foundation. Little hearts deserve the utmost care.”

Mahesh Babu is a strong supporter of causes that save sick children. Mahesh Babu, through his foundation, has facilitated heart operations for over 1,000 children in hospitals in Andhra.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is associated with Heal A Child Foundation which supports children who have no financial support and cannot afford medical bills.

It can also be noted that Mahesh Babu adopted Burripalem and Siddapuram villages in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively. He does an act of Srimanthudu by helping with health and hygiene programs and is responsible for social awareness in these villages through his Mahesh Babu Foundation. It has taken responsibility for providing basic facilities in these villages like bus shelters, toilets, construction and renovation of classrooms, basic school infrastructure, etc. as part of its charitable activities.
