Elton John postpones Dallas shows following diagnosis of COVID-19

Elton John postponed two performances in Dallas, TX on his 2022 Farewell yellow brick road tour after contracting COVID-19, the musician announced on Tuesday.

In a statement mailed to his instagram storyJohn detailed the postponement of his shows tonight, January 25, and tomorrow, January 26, in Dallas’ American Airlines Center.

“Hi everyone, I wanted to send a message to let you know that I have contracted COVID and therefore had to reschedule my shows in Dallas,” he wrote. “If you have tickets, you will be contacted very soon with the new dates. It’s always a huge disappointment to move shows and I’m so sorry to anyone who has been inconvenienced by this, but I want to keep myself and my team safe.

Elton reassured fans that his “symptoms are mild” and that he “fully expects to be able to do the Arkansas shows this weekend” at North Little Rock’s Simmons Bank Arena January 29.

John has just launched this stage of his 2022 Farewell yellow brick road touring January 19 in New Orleans, LA Smoothie King Center. Billed as his final tour dates, the musical legend was ecstatic to be back on stage after a layoff of nearly two years.
